TeenScreen National Center for Mental Health Checkups at Columbia University announces open enrollment to its new TeenScreen Registry for primary care providers who offer standard-of-care mental health screening to adolescents.
The American Academy of Pediatrics, the Institute of Medicine, and the US Preventive Services Task Force are among the professional medical organizations that recommend screening of adolescents at routine care visits to identify youth who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and other mental illnesses.
Enrollees, including physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, will receive free access to patient-education materials, evidence-based screening questionnaires, and a private online information-sharing community. Registrants are not limited to practitioners who use evidence-based screening questionnaires provided by TeenScreen.
Registrants’ profile information will be listed on the public page of the registry Web site, which launches in June. Providers may enroll now or request more information by visiting http://registry.teenscreen.org.
